Nepal Australia is a sustainable community development organisation with a focus on the most disadvantaged children and the families in the rural areas of Nepal.

Our programs and campaigns have been designed and practised highlighting that every child is special and every child has the right to live, laugh and learn.

    Humble beginnings...

    It was when Prabin and Anisha Gautam together with several Australian friends attended their wedding, visited a school in Banepa, Nepal where saw how local disadvantaged children and families needed help and support.

    In collaboration with a group of Australian and Nepalese friends started a community organisation in Adelaide to help disadvantaged children and families in rural regions of Nepal.

    Successfully deployed 100% fund to Vimeshwor Lower Secondary School – Banepa to build:

    • Water Tank and construction project
    • Perimeter facilities / wall

    First Phase Completed : Vimeshwor Lower Secondary School – Banepa

    Inauguration of the new facilities by the Gautam family. Prabin and Anisha Gautam provided computers, desks, chairs and other educational needs with IT Training for staff in association with VIS Nepal.

    Earthquake ( 7.8 Mw)

    The April 2015 Nepal Earthquake killed around 9,000 people and injured approximately 22,000. Many villages were destroyed. At Nepal Australia, we focused on 3 Villages – Banepa, Dhading and Trishuli Nuwakot.

    Earthquake Fundraising in Adelaide and Brisbane

    Immediate funds released to support most disadvantaged children and families by providing tents, food, clothes and basic need items for Banepa Village and Vimeshwor Lower Secondary School.

    Nepal Earthquake fundraiser – Rotary Club of Kent Town

    Fundraising Dinner organised by the Rotary Club of Kent Town. President Chris Harris presented a cheque to Prabin Gautam to support communities affected by the recent Earthquake.
